Feedwater heater and condenser performance can cause significant loss of availability and efficiency in both fossil-fired power and nuclear plants. Many of the issues can be corrected by improving design, and materials, monitoring operation and maintenance practices, and by performing periodic or routine nondestructive examinations.
The purpose of this EPRI-sponsored symposium is to provide the attendees the opportunity to more fully understand the technical aspects of FWH and condensers, and apply that information to improve design specifications, operation, maintenance, and performance.
This EPRI-sponsored conference provides a forum to exchange knowledge, experience, and engineering solutions on all aspects of FWH and steam condenser technologies. Technical sessions and presentations will be held on equipment design, performance, maintenance, operation, optimization, design, and improvements. The conference sessions will serve as a forum to exchange information, and attendees will be encouraged to participate. Time will be provided to discuss key issues in detail and to address topics not covered in presentations.
This is an in-person event.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Utility managers, engineers, manufacturers, engineering consultants, and research scientists involved in improving condenser reliability and performance, plant operation and maintenance, plant life extension, heat exchanger and condenser design and those persons involved with technical aspects of heat exchangers.
